If you’ve been thinking about offering financial support to the arts, right now could be the best time. Donations can help slash your end of the financial year tax bill, as any contribution over $2 could be tax deductable.

Many arts organisations rely on an EOFY campaign as part of their overall funding stream. Creative Director and CEO of Melbourne Fringe Simon Abrahams said, ‘We make more than half of our annual donations in the six weeks leading up to 30 June. These days we need diverse income streams, and donation appeals are quite separate to our organisational funding, but they help us to do things that our core operations can’t support. They’re different things. We need them both.’
