ACMI, the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, and Artbank, Australia’s national collecting and leasing agency, have announced a new three-year joint initiative worth a cool $210,000 that sees the commissioning of new work by Australian artists.

The annual program, to be known as the Artbank + ACMI Commission, will grant the chosen recipient $70,000 (and an ACMI X industry membership) to help develop and create a new work that can be viewed either in a gallery space or in the cinema on the big screen.
