The Cultural Fund allocates $150,000 annually to support individuals in the publishing and visual arts sectors for career development through the Creative Industries Career Fund.
Copyright Agency’s Board is authorised by Copyright Agency’s Constitution to allocate 1.5% of revenue collected to cultural development. This is known as the Cultural Fund. The Cultural Fund supports projects that enhance the economic and creative climate in which Copyright Agency’s members and Copyright Agency operate and provides practical assistance to the benefit of the Australian cultural community generally.
The Cultural Fund also allocates $150,000 annually to support individuals in the publishing and visual arts sectors for career development through the Creative Industries Career Fund.
When considering applications to the Copyright Agency Cultural Fund, the Cultural Fund Committee gives priority to those that support innovation in the Australian creative industries to develop local and foreign markets for Australian works.
On that basis, applications are invited for projects which will empower Copyright Agency’s members and Australian rights owners to:
support those who create copyright works in Australia, so that their ability to produce work and live off it, may be enhanced; enhance the environment for the creation, production and distribution of, access to and appreciation of Australian literary and artistic works; and assist rights owners to manage their rights efficiently and equitably.
Cultural fund allocations are made at the discretion of Copyright Agency’s Board, on the recommendation of the Board’s Cultural Fund Committee.
