ACT’s Tim Phillips has won the 2013 Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship.

Each year the Brett Whiteley Studio awards a talented young artist with a scholarship and international residency.

The scholarship, which is administered by the Art Gallery of New South Wales, was started in 1999 by Mrs Beryl Whiteley who was inspired by the profound effect of travel experienced by her son when he was a student.
