Namatjiras meet with royalty – again

Grandchildren of Central Australian Indigenous artist, Albert Namatjira, have met with Her Majesty The Queen ahead of the international premiere of the play Namatjira at Southbank Centre, the UK’s largest arts centre.

Lenie and Kevin Namatjira, both watercolour painters, met Her Majesty at Buckingham Palace, reaffirming the international significance of their grandfather and the Central Australian desert watercolour tradition.
