Gondwana Choirs helps create a future for Australian music by identifying, training and supporting the country’s best young singers, conductors and composers. Founded in 1989 by Lyn Williams OAM, our original choir - the Sydney Children’s Choir - has become one of the world’s most celebrated children’s ensembles.
Since 1997, four new choirs (including the internationally-acclaimed Gondwana Voices) have been formed - expanding our choral education programs across Australia; and in 2008, the Gondwana National Indigenous Children’s Choir was founded.
Today, these three programs – the Sydney Children’s Choir, Gondwana National Choirs, and the Gondwana National Indigenous Children’s Choir – have more than 1200 choristers and our artistic team has provided workshops for 2,300 young Indigenous people.
