About Us

Are you a young person looking for a career in the arts and creative industries but finding it tough to get work experience or a job? Why not try an ArtsReady traineeship.

ArtsReady supports young Australians who are seeking a successful and rewarding career in the creative industries, by providing them with paid, work combined with a nationally recognised qualification. The traineeship experience creates practical on-the-job skills and potential career pathways.

The arts and creative sectors can include the performing arts of dance, theatre and music or the visual arts such as ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and photography, but can also be applied to fashion, design, architecture, film, TV, radio, new media, gaming and software, publishing and writing, production, festivals and events, advertising, marketing, libraries and museums.

For employers, ArtsReady makes the task of hiring entry level roles as straightforward as possible. We remain the legal employer of our trainees and look after the associated administration, organise their education plan and arrange the appropriate training provider to deliver the education that best suits the needs of both our trainees and employers.

The ArtsReady team brings it all together to ensure everyone is working together to deliver the best outcome for trainees, employers and the industry as a whole.

ArtsReady is an initiative of AFL SportsReady, supported by the Australian Government.
