Shire of Wiluna

Community Development Coordinator Art, Heritage and Tourism

The Shire of Wiluna has an opportunity for an experienced Arts, Heritage and Tourism Coordinator to join its small friendly staff and oversee the soon to open Wiluna Heritage and Interpretive Centre.

Located where the Canning Stock Route meets the Gunbarrel Highway in the remote Murchison goldfields region of Western Australia, the Shire of Wiluna covers 182,156 km² of mining and pastoral land and also has good agricultural and service industry opportunities.

The Shire of Wiluna is seeking a suitably qualified person, with a background in Visual Arts, Heritage and/or Tourism to work at the Heritage and Interpretive Centre. You will be well supported by the Executive Manager Community and Economic Development who has over 25 years experience in the visual arts industry and will provide a comprehensive induction to all aspects of the role. Any extra off-site training required (such as SAM database) will be provided at the Shires expense.

The Shire will negotiate an attractive package (including free housing) with the successful applicant, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
