Shepparton Art Museum Limited - Call for Board Directors

The Board of Shepparton Art Museum Limited is seeking expressions of interest from individuals to join the Shepparton Art Museum Limited Board.

Shepparton Art Museum Limited has been established as a company limited by guarantee to operate the Shepparton Art Museum as a public art museum.

The Board will comprise nine (9) Company Directors and will be a skills-based Board. There will be two Greater Shepparton City Council nominated positions, and one SAM Foundation representative. Shepparton Art Museum Limited is seeking six community members for the Board.

The Board is keen to attract representation from the financial, legal, marketing/tourism, art museum management sectors along with local Aboriginals, professional artists, and individuals with trust/philanthropic interests or experience in commercial operations, governance experience, or business leadership. There will be a diversity of skills, culture, gender, age, ethnicity, backgrounds and world views within the Board.

The new SAM will operate as a not-for-profit, charitable organisation and the Board positions are voluntary.

Expressions of interest are sought from individuals passionate about operating the Shepparton Art Museum, through the new Company Limited by Guarantee Board structure. EOIs close on Friday 31 August 2018 and need to be submitted on the application form which can be found at greatershepparton.com.au
