An exciting opportunity currently exists to join Wodonga Council’s Arts Space team in the part time role of Curator.
As the Curator at Arts Space Wodonga, you will be responsible for the procurement, design, management and installation of various exhibition programs in Arts Space Wodonga, including travelling, solo, group and original curated shows.
The Curator will liaise with artists, arts organisations and the wider community and be responsible for curatorial content (conceptual and aesthetic), condition reporting and installation of artworks.
This position is also responsible for the design, development and execution of accompanying public programs with a focus on young families, and also the promotion and administration of venue hire and working with hirers in the development and delivery of their events.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in designing, procuring and managing exhibition programs, the ability to liaise with artists, art organisations and the community and the ability to educate artists in the creation and development of exhibition artworks. Your experience in designing and delivering public programs, events and workshops and your capacity the make curatorial content accessible to children and families, will see you succeed in this role.
