Spooktober Halloween Festival is happening again this year at St Kilda Town Hall, Friday 27 - Tuesday 31 October 2017!

Spooktober is Melbourne's leading Halloween Festival and boasts three Haunted House experiences under the one roof at St Kilda Town Hall - The Doll Factory and the Trick or Treat Manor which becomes the Blood Manor by night! Along with the Haunted House experiences, with free entry into the Festival grounds, patrons can try their luck at one of our Halloween themed games and activities whilst enjoy roaming characters, costume contests, the Food Truck Village and bar.

We are seeking a team of enthusiastic and committed volunteers to join our SCREAM TEAM for some ghoulish good times. Over the festival period, the scream team will work in a range of roles over bump in/out and during the event, and will assist with an assortment of tasks to contribute to the successful delivery of our Festival.

In exchange for your time you will receive:
- A Spooktober T-Shirt
- Two free tickets to Spooktober for friends and family
- A reference letter outlining your contribution to the event, signed by the Festival Director
- Headshots for your folio taken by a professional photographer of you in costume (acting roles only)
- Spooktober will pay for your Working with Children Check, if you do not have a valid certification

Below is information about the volunteer roles available.

**Spooktober Halloween Festival - volunteer roles**

Actors

Theatre students with some experience acting and an interest in playing ghoulish characters! Volunteer actors will be provided with full H&MU and costumes and will work in one of the event "haunts" a fully immersive animatronic experience or as a roaming character.

Event Crew 
Students studying Event Management, or Event Styling looking for experience working within the Event Industry. There are a range of Event Crew volunteer roles available including general and site bump in/out, traffic management, crowd/queue control, HR and set dressing.

Games and Ticketing Staff
Ideal for students looking retail/cash handling experience who would enjoy working with games, activities and children.

Costume/SFX Hair and Makeup Artists
Theatre and SFX Hair & Make Up artists and Costume students looking for professional event experience.
