Fringe cheaper for artists but not everyone is happy

New funding will ensure Adelaide Fringe is more affordable for artists but some argue the money could be better targeted to support independent practitioners.

Adelaide Fringe has received $1 million of new funding from the South Australian Government to help make the annual arts festival more affordable for artists, audiences and venues. The funding will be used to reduce internal ticketing charges for artists from 2018, as well as for an interstate marketing campaign.
