Ten Days on the Island has welcomed two new members to the team that will develop and deliver their 2019 Festival.

Jane Forrest, a highly-respected and well-connected arts marketing and events professional, has been appointed to the part-time role of Manager, Partnerships and Engagement. Her recent assignments include publicity and stakeholder engagement for Junction Arts Festival 2016 and 2017 and Acting General Manager, Marketing, and Development Manager for Tasdance. Based in Launceston, Jane will work with the Board and CEO to build partnerships with business, local government and other entities that contribute resources to invest in new works by Tasmanian artists and bring arts experiences to audiences all over the state.

CEO, Jane Haley, said ‘I’m delighted that Jane has come on board. She’s renowned for her creative ideas and hard work and I very much look forward to working with her when she starts in early January.’

Forrest is keen to make her contribution. ‘Ten Days on the Island is at an exciting time in its development and I’m looking forward to working with the festival team and the Tasmanian community to create something with which we can all connect and share. Partnerships with Tasmanian businesses and the community underpin the Festival’s sustainability,’ she said.
