Politicians targeted for arts education rethink

The National Advocates for Arts Education (NAAE) met with advisers from all political parties and senior staff from the federal education and arts departments this week in Canberra, calling for a rethink of arts education.

The NAAE delegation asserted that arts skills are as important as literacy and numeracy and should be prioritised alongside STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths).
