Music academy thrown a government lifeline

After eight years of discussion the future looks secure for a national centre for excellence in classical music training.

The Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) has announced a six-year arrangement with Victoria’s Andrews Labor Government, ensuring the Academy’s continued presence in South Melbourne.

ANAM will receive $175,000 each year for the next six years under the new funding agreement.
