How to find your creative voice

‘I wanted to play trumpet when I was in Year 1, but the music teacher told me my fingers were too “stubby”,’ said Matt Smith, a Perth-based trumpet player and composer. ‘Fast forward to Year 9, I joined the Kalamunda Youth Swing Band (KYSB) which was where my jazz education began.’
