About Us
LCI Melbourne is a higher education institute uniquely specialising in the design arts. As part of the global LCI Education Network, students are connected to 21 partner campuses around the world and are empowered by access to international trends, industries, experts and experiences.
LCI Melbourne’s Bachelor of Design Arts offers majors and sub-majors in a choice of: Communication Design (Creative Advertising), Fashion & Costume Design, Filmmaking & Photography, Graphic & Digital Design, Interior Design, and Visual Arts. Students can choose to accelerate their degree and finish in just two years!
New Warehouse Campus
The new LCI Melbourne campus opened in January 2018 in the heritage-listed Foy & Gibson warehouse precinct in Collingwood. The impressively remodelled building features state-of-the-art facilities such as a public art gallery, editing suites, and industry-standard studios. The area is a creative hub with a range of art galleries, fashion houses and design studios, which provide many local professional placement opportunities for students. By learning in a vibrant and creative environment dedicated to design arts, students are nurtured to exceed the expectations of industry and stand out from the crowd.
History
LCI Melbourne was formerly known as the Academy of Design Australia, and was founded in 1998 as the Australian Academy of Design.
