Depot II Gallery is pleased to present a collaborative exhibition
of English charcoal artist/sculptor Yan Fletcher and Sydney
furniture designer/graphic artist Josh Murray… 'The Chairs'.
Introduced through the network of social media some 2 years
ago, Fletcher and Murray have since curated a collection of
furniture and interpretations thereof that represent the
contrasts of form in chair design. Fletcher's charcoal drawings
focus on foundational structure of the subject, as well as the
drawing process itself. Murray's furniture restoration is
elemental, ensuring that with artisan detailing each piece still
makes reference to its period.
