For the first time, the acclaimed FLiCKERFEST comes to Brisbane''s Judith Wright Centre this February, showcasing the most entertaining and award-winning short films from Australia and around the world.

Australia’s only Academy® accredited and BAFTA recognised short film festival has handpicked exciting highlights from the record 2200 entries received for the 21st anniversary event held at Sydney’s Bondi Beach, creating a fantastic three-night programme of bite-sized chunks of cinematic treats for Brisbane audiences to feast on.

Over the past 21 years, FLiCKERFEST has provided a prestigious platform for many home grown filmmakers now enjoying international careers, including Sundance awarded director David Michod (Animal Kingdom), Cannes Film Festival winner Warwick Thornton (Samson and Delilah), Andrew Lancaster (Accidents Happen), Patrick Hughes (Red Hill), Claire McCarthy (Waiting City) and Leon Ford (Griff the Invisible).
