Eleven years after his first exhibition at the FNCC, Paul Kiddo, accurately referred to as “one of the most fascinating grassroots artists in Namibia” (A.Vogt), returns to our gallery.
Paul Kiddo is known for his naïve realism oil-paintings of Namibian landscapes, wild animals, historic buildings and tongue-in-cheek homestead sceneries. But his exhibition entitled “Life in Namibia” also includes a few recent works created in Berlin, depicting young people on the streets of the vibrant German city. Kiddo spent two months in Berlin last year through the “Shared Experiences” artist residency program. His artworks, though, are mostly inspired by his passionate love for Namibia, its people, its history and its wide open spaces.
Free entrance, until February 29th
