The Brimbank Literary Festival brings some of Australia’s best emerging and established writers to Brimbank, and reflects the true diversity of today’s voices of Australia.
This year’s line up includes:
- Acclaimed screen writer and director of Blessed (2009), Ana Kokkinos
- Cambodian writer and author of Hidden Treasure, Multicultural Voices of Melbourne
- Afghan refugee and memoir writer, Najaf Mazari
- Author of the fantasy Bitterbynde and Crowthistle series’, Cecilia Dart-Thornton
- Author of the fiction collection Look Who’s Morphing, Tom Cho
- Children’s fiction writer Hilary Badger
- Iconic Melbourne crime writer Shane Maloney
Plus there’s book making workshops with Kid’s Own Book Cubby, storytelling with Toddlepott and Grr, open mic session with Story Salon, Narrative in Comics (Manga) Workshop with OzTaku and for the first time in Brimbank, Poetry Slam featuring Members of Royalty.
