The Brisbane arts community will at last have a national short film competition they can proudly call their own, when the inaugural West End Film Festival (WEFF) hosts its gala event and awards ceremony on Sunday March 28.

WEFF's mission is to showcase the efforts of Australian filmmakers and bring alternative short films to one of Queensland’s most vibrant arts communities.

Screening at the Rumpus Cinema tucked in behind well-known West End bar, the Rumpus Room, the evening will feature the top 27 film entries screened across 3 sessions.
