St Martins Youth Arts Centre is seeking applicatns for their 2012 Catapult development program for diverse emerging artists.

In 2011, the inaugural Catapult Program consisted of 12 diverse theatre-makers from a range of cultures and artforms from all over Victoria and the world. This group made work together, advocated on behalf of the emerging artist sector byt running a national summit that had a voice at the Australian Theatre Forum.

St Martins Youth Arts Centre is proud to announce that 50% of Catapult 2011 have gone on to paid opportunities and residencies with the company and two artists were recipients of the 2012 National Jump Mentoring Program.

This year St Martins is seeking eight diverse emerging artists, in their first 1-2 years of practice, to change the face and future of Australian theatre. Artists from all art-forms and backgrounds with an interest in contemporary performance are encouraged to apply.
