The bi-weekly Craft Hatch Emerging Artisans Market: The Sustainable Edition will be held on Saturday 13 February 11am - 4pm, City Library, (253 Flinders Lane, Level 1 gallery).

In celebration of sustainability, Craft Victoria is proud to present a special green edition of the Craft Hatch Market to coincide with the Sustainable Living Festival.

Featuring a selection of locally crafted products by makers dedicated to incorporating sustainable design into their practice; expect to find an exquisite range of homewares, jewellery, clothing, accessories, stationery and lots more.

Each maker uses different approaches to move their practice toward becoming truly sustainable.

Andrea Daniel makes soft toys primarily from found or recycled fabrics and buttons. To reduce her travel emissions she works from a home studio that uses green power.

Kylie Bickerdike has a background in environmental science and uses this knowledge to inform her textile design practice. She works with organic fabrics and eco friendly, water based inks and is always looking for new ways to reduce waste and water usage.

The February Craft Hatch Market will feature stalls by: Andrea Daniel, Anne Mason, Gemma Johnson, Dusty Caravan (Hollie Maree Kelley), Hookturn, Kylie Bickerdike, Mae Finlayson, Morgan Wills, Spin Spin (Susan Fitzgerald) and Tasty Pixel (Sheena McKinnon).

Craft Hatch Markets are presented by Craft Victoria in collaboration with the City Library on the second Saturday of every month, 11am – 4pm.
