Finalists for Design Now! 2010

Object: Australian Centre for Craft and Design has announced the 18 finalists for its annual national graduate exhibition Design Now! 2010.

This highly anticipated event showcases the outstanding work of 2009 design graduates selected from over 250 nominees across Australia.

The 2010 finalists are:

Design for the Body: Emi Fukuda (RMIT University, VIC), Georgia Lazzaro (RMIT University, VIC); Danielle van Camp (UTS, NSW)

Design for the Built Environment: Alina McConnochie & Erik Escalante (UTS, NSW); Lucy Fuchsbichler (Curtin University of Technology, WA); Hannah Ritchie Young (College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales, NSW)

Design for Communication: Jessica Benhar (College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales, NSW); Madelin Fuller & Arielle Gamble (UTS, NSW); Matthew Lahoud (University of Western Sydney, NSW)

Design for the Home: Peter Bollington (Australian National University, ACT); Amy Carr Bottomley (RMIT University, VIC); Hamit Kuralkan (Monash University, VIC)

Design for Industry: Zaki Arif (Swinburne University of Technology, VIC); Harsha Ravi (Monash University, VIC); Tom Hussey (UTS, NSW)

Design for Studio Production: Michaela Bruton (RMIT University, VIC); Addison Marshall (National Art School, NSW); Eleni Antoniou (National Art School, NSW)

Prizes will be awarded in association with Design Now! 2010(details to be released March 2010).

For the first time, a Best of the Rest slideshow of work from the nominee pool will also be exhibited.

Design Now! 2010 will run from 10 April – 30 May 2010 in Object’s Main Gallery.
