The popular LifeStyle channel program, Grand Designs Australia, is taking over the Sydney Convention Centre in October with a live show in association with the Sydney Architecture Festival.
Grand Designs Australia Live is an all new style of home show that presents the most innovative ideas in design today. Based on the hit UK TV show, presented by Kevin McCloud, the all new Australian version of the series is presented by Peter Maddison. Together in Sydney for the first time, the two hosts will present a weekend of events focusing on the best of architecture and design for the home. Included will be the latest in interiors, home decor, kitchens and bathrooms, home technology and outdoors from over 250 exhibitors.
Must sees at the show include the Architext bookshop and NSW Architecture Awards feature. You will also be able to view Find An Architect (www.findanarchitect.com.au) - an online directory of Australian architecture firms. An architect can help you improve the appearance, functionality and sustainability of your built environment, improve the efficiency of your lifestyle or business and deliver time and cost efficiencies.
As McCloud recently said, ‘I am absolutely thrilled to be able to make it to Sydney for the inaugural Grand Designs Australia Live exhibition. I'm looking forward to celebrating the best in construction, design, sustainability, interiors and landscaping that Australia has to offer and I'm particularly excited about meeting my customers: the visitors to the show who are also avid viewers of Grand Designs. Down under here we come.’
