Barkly Regional Arts (BRA) is the regional hub for the arts in the Barkly region operating out of Tennant Creek. The Barkly region is a huge, expanse of nearly 3 00,000 square km between the tropical Top End and the arid Red Centre in the Northern Territory. Its remit is to deliver arts programs and initiatives in the Barkly Region guided by the CCD framework within which we operate: using the arts as a tool for community development and well being - creating pathways to further employment, education, training, health, skills development, cultural maintenance making a difference.

Barkly Regional Arts will be recognised as a best practise cross-cultural regional arts organisation renowned for its unique methods of working with diverse cultures and for its ability to provide resources for these distinctive cultures to express themselves in innovative ways.
Our Purpose
Barkly Regional Arts develops partnerships with local, regional and national individuals and organisations to facilitate and promote artistic activities nurturing the creative expression of the Barkly Region and showcasing our diverse cultural riches to the global community. This vibrant artistic exchange across the communities of the Barkly will broker increased opportunities for economic development, cultural maintenance and community pride.
