The Festivalists

Based in Sydney, Australia, The Festivalists Ltd are specialists in the production of film festivals and cultural events. This non-profit company exists to showcase the talents of under-represented filmmakers & artist, and to develop audiences for their work in Australia. Our goal is to facilitate the promotion of independent and Australian arts and cinema, to present work that enriches cultural diversity and experience for all audiences.

Our flagship events include:
- Jurassic Lounge at the Australian Museum | Art, Music & New Ideas Every Tuesday in Summer (1st edition Feb-Apr 2011)
- Possible Worlds | Sydney's Canadian Film Festival and national tour (6th edition, August 2011)
- Access All Areas | fully-accessible film festival touring across NSW (4th edition, November 2011)
- Young at Heart | Sydney's Seniors Film Festival (6th edition, March 2011)
- Kino Sydney | monthly short film night (over 43 sold out events since 2006)

The Australian Museum opens its doors on Tuesday nights for after-hour sessions featuring art, live music, drinks + new ideas.

Young at Heart is a chance for seniors, their friends and family to enjoy film premieres, beloved classics, panel discussions, Q&A's and free filmmaking workshops. Each year we also reveal the finalists in the Young at Heart Short Film Awards, which offer recognition for seniors' contribution to Australian cinema.

The annual Possible Worlds Film Festival runs a week of film premieres, panel discussions, filmmaker Q&A's and special events showcasing the best new cinema from Canada.
Welcoming prestigious international filmmakers and guests, the Festival is a rare chance to watch the best new Canadian films, meet the artists and participate in exciting interactive activities.
